Happiness is you

As I came upstairs tonight, all I felt was happiness. When I checked on you sleeping in your big boy bed, all sprawled out, half under the covers in your underwear, I couldn't help but laugh. I go to bed now, feeling nothing but pure contentment and joy. I never thought I could have the love I have for your daddy, for anyone else. The love I have for you has far surpassed anything I have ever known.   

Ill love you forever.

1st Poop!! (On 5/31)

First REAL poop on the potty yesterday at Miss Rene's! We were so proud of you and you were so proud of yourself!! Big deal!!!  Ou picked out a "Cars 2" race track as your reward : )

Nose picker

"Mommy, do you know why I pick my nose?"

"Why Jackson?"

"Because I am a Nose Expert."

I laughed so hard I nearly passed out : )

Also, must note the CRAZY Willy Wonka obsession. I must tell you the story of "the kids" at least 6xs per week...although you ask about 6 times a day....no joke!!!

Big Boy Bed

Jackson spent his first night in his big boy bed and loved it!  He never called out and came into our room in the morning. So proud

Prayers

I have a friend who just had a baby through an emergency C-section, 10 weeks premature. He is 2 pounds. I can't even imagine what she is going through right now. She has some history of depression so I am very worried about her as well as the baby. I pray everyday that he makes it through. It breaks my heart and I have been fighting back tears. I just don't know what I would do.
I had to post this because there are very few people I can talk to about it.

Jackson: Where can we buy one?
Me: You can't. Mommies have to grow them in their bellies.
Jackson: Oh. Ok (thinking)...I can grow one in my belly.

Bedtime

8:00pm in bed. No sound until 10:00pm: "Mommy! Mommy!" Me: "Yes Jackson, what's the problem." Jackson: "Mommy, the problem IS that I need 1 more hug and 1 more kiss. That's the problem." I can't imagine loving another human more. EVER.

Sunshine

You are such a day brightener! Trying to get through this last hour of work is painful but I just keeping thinking about you & what a joy you are.
This morning, when both Daddy & I came down, you commented on how nice we looked for work : ) "Oooh Mommy you look so cute. Nice shirt!"
Last night before bed, you asked what my happy dance was. You then said that your happy dance "goes a little something like this." Too funny...
You also told me the other day when I asked you a couple times to finish your lunch - "Mama, you're frieken me out!"

Sweetness

Last night before bed, you hugged Daddy & I and said, "You are my favorite friends, Guys." Just when we were practically in tears, you followed it up with, "You're my poopy friends too, hahaha!" You definitely got your Daddy's sense of humor - ha!
